AV/IT Security Engineer

Competencies

Minimum 6-8 years experience.
BSc, MSc or HNC in relevant subject with demonstrable strength in IT subjects e.g. Computer Sciences
Industry qualifications, e.g. RCDD, CCNE, CIBSE.
Experience in Middle East projects will be highly preferred.

Develop network of contacts with clients and other design team members.

Be an ambassador for the Company.

Provide input on design strategy and conceptual design relative to IT+S installations.
Undertake design calculations relevant to the design of IT+S installations within major building projects.
Design IT+S installations including the production of design drawings, diagrams and schematics along with project specifications and schedules.
Design IT+S installations to meet all existing, relevant Industry and British Standards, and other relevant standards.
Work as part of a team to meet project brief and programme requirements.
Senior Position - duties in addition to the above, including:
Lead an IT+S team or in the co-ordination and delivery of individual projects, including attendance at meetings, internal programming, project reviews, etc.
Manage client and design team relationships. Understand client needs and interpret and confirm the project brief.
Provide assistance and support to other members of the IT+S team within the office. Undertake constructive peer reviews of other designer’s projects.
Demonstrate a wide knowledge and relevant project experience of IT+S systems across a range of sectors.
Have an understanding of IT+S systems and the ability to report on the various elements and interdependencies during meetings, etc.
Promote the discipline and act on sales and marketing opportunities

Have an understanding of our Business plan, mission statement and key challenges.
Contribute to the development of company procedures by taking an active role in task groups.
Attend team meetings and play an active role in the development of procedures within your team.
Review and comment on company procedures using the feedback system.
Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training

Produce drawing list/calculation index/specification list/information required schedule.
Produce design philosophy
Responsible for development and production of drawings/calculations/specification/reports.
Check drawings/review calculations from Graduate Engineers.
Understand design philosophy/design fundamentals.
Familiar with architects/service engineers/etc. drawings, specification.
Development of details.
Production of calculations.
Co-ordination with architect/service engineer information.

Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
