Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of experience in an Engineering Consultancy firm.
Hotel project experience is an essential. 
Qualified Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering.

Masters Degree/Chartered Engineering Status is an added advantage. 

Business Development

Starting to win business and develop new clients with annual targets to be agreed.

Be ambassadors for Company.

Ability to develop relationships with Client and Architects.

Ability to represent 9E at new project interviews.

Take part in marketing of practice generally.

Project Role

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of a portfolio of jobs as Project Manager in conjunction with a project director or Associate Director on major/complex projects could take the role of Project Engineer.  
  • Core responsibilities include:-

    •   Job profitability
    •   Job cash flow
    •   Project quality
  •   Such projects could be multi-disciplinary but will generally be single discipline
  •   Be able to motivate and lead professional teams to deliver client solutions.
  •   Be commercially astute.
  •   Be experienced and competent at:
    • Presenting to clients
    • Preparing client/project proposals for agreement with a Director.
    • Negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees where possible.
    • Constructing project teams from internal and external resources.
    • Procuring project resources
    • Planning projects
  •   Liaising with client/design team/contractor/authorities.
  •   Ensuring QA policy, HSE and CDM requirements are satisfied.
  •   Ability to represent the practice on the projects under his/her control.

Company Role

  • Be responsible for leading a team of engineers in conjunction with another associate involving:-

    • Developing and guiding engineers and design team.
    • Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training
    • Undertake six monthly performance reviews for their team
  • Have an understanding of our Business plan, mission statement and key challenges.
  • Ability to manage team of 12/15.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and play a key role in the development of the company procedures and by an active role in task groups.

Engineering Function

  • Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
  • Review and comment on deliverables produced by the team on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates all round technical competence.
  • Have a good knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
  • Prepare drawings, calculations & models. Review documents prepared by subordinates.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of analytical concepts.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.

QHSE Responsibilities

  • Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
  • Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace. 
  • Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
  • Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required. 
  • Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
