Qualifications

A Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. 

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.  

Certification in concrete technology or related specialization is an advantage. 

Business Development

 Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

Project Role

  • Supervise and monitor all concrete-related activities on-site, including casting, curing, and finishing works. 
  • Inspect concrete works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, codes, and quality standards. 
  • Attend and document inspections through IRs and checklists.  
  • Maintain daily site diaries and photographic records.  
  • Report any non-conformance to the respective site leads immediately.  
  • Verify concrete mix designs, materials, and batching processes to ensure they meet project requirements. 
  • Witness as necessary onsite testing required under the contract specifications/ or approved ITP,  tests such as but not limited to  slump test, cube/cylinder tests, and other quality control checks to assess concrete strength and consistency. 
  • Monitor reinforcement placement, formwork, and embedding of inserts before concrete pouring. 
  • Ensure proper curing practices and preventive measures are implemented to maintain concrete durability and strength. 
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of concrete works. 
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.  
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and document any non-conformities or corrective actions. 
  • Ensure all concrete works adhere to safety regulations, environmental requirements, and project-specific guidelines. 
  • Support the project quality control and assurance teams by providing technical guidance and recommendations. 
  • Understand approved method statements, inspection plans, and test reports related to concrete works, and ensure compliance with project standards during inspections. 
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on concrete work progress, quality issues, and risk mitigation whenever required.
  • Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks as on when needed by Client / Ste Leads. 

Company Role

  • Have an understanding of our Business plan, mission statement and key challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of company procedures by taking an active role in task groups.
  • Attend team meetings and play an active role in the development of procedures within your team.
  • Review and comment on company procedures using the feedback system.

Engineering Function

  • Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
  • Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
  • Demonstrates all round technical competence.
  • Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
  • Have knowledge of analytical concepts.
  • Should be responsible for Quality Management (QA) for their team.
    • Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.

QHSE Responsibilities

  • Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
  • Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace. 
  • Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
  • Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required. 
  • Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
